About the Author
As a boy, Will Braund’s life revolved around baseball. He played every day after school and from 8 until 8 on weekends. He hung up his glove at 39 as the third baseman and manager of a men’s league team but later worked as an instructor for the Toronto Blue Jays at their summer camp for teenagers.
After earning an Honors degree in History he taught for several years, during which he was nominated for the Governor General’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. After being promoted to principal he was elected Chair of the Toronto School Administrators’ Association. Will reads voraciously about the history of baseball. He likes to make his books fun reads but he does exhaustive research about the places his characters visited, what was on the menu where they ate, the view from their hotel room, the name of the trains they took - you name it, no detail is left unchecked.
Will retired a few years ago but still fills in for principals a few days a month. He lives north of Toronto with his beautiful wife Trudy and their son Tyler and close to Ty’s older brother Matt and his children “Spud” and “Muffin”. His third historical novel, “The Only Del”, is now on sale at amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and many other retailers.
